		<abstract>In this paper we propose a method for identification of the finger phalanges based on the analysis of hand contour in RGB-D sensors. The proposed method is able to partially identify and track the kinematic structure of the fingers. The tracking was performed using the ORB algorithm to match points between a template with some hand images (in different poses) and the image captured. The principal component analysis was performed to compute the hand orientation relative to the image plane. The system will be used as a starting point for a full tracking of the fingers articulated movement.</abstract>
